  • Each day comes with a video plus a section in the series Workbook with reflective questions and mindset work.

  • There's a Bonus - Self-Care Immersion! Explore self-care + an extra practice for good measure!

  • And…of course, you'll be part of the YWURP email list, so you can stay in the loop on all things embodiment, self-compassion & self-care.

The Nitty-Gritty

  • Day One - Movement

Encouraging embodiment by (1) practicing interoception, then taking this information and (2) making choices that (3) honor our bodies' needs and wants to foster a feeling of (4) safety and (5) present moment awareness. Once these choices are made, we (6) take effective action toward them. Ultimately, we seek to increase those little flashes of a flow-like state, (7) unity with our bodies in this moment, meeting them with self-compassion.

  • Day Two - Breath

While it isn't always suggested to incorporate breath awareness or breathwork with those who have a history of trauma, it has been personally transformative for me, once I was ready for it and found the techniques that were best suited to me at first. This brief practice encourages inner-awareness for those that may feel ready to explore the deep connection that the breath can offer us.

  • Day Three - Reflection

This practice is all about becoming aware of the words and attitudes that we send to our own bodies, us. I invite you to follow the guidance of the video, as you move through different areas of your body. What words do we tell ourselves...What voice do we listen to? Self-deprecation, judgement, or self-compassion?

  • Bonus! ~ Self-Care Immersion

This series is accompanied by a workbook to help explain the rationale and guide you through some contemplative and exploratory exercises along the way. After the initial 3 days, there is additional content centering on self-care (plus an extra practice for good measure)!

Yoga Therapy and Trauma-Informed and Sensitive Yoga can work as a complement to other health and wellness partners for those that would benefit from a more therapeutic or trauma-sensitive approach.

Your disconnection from your needs, self-care, your body may be serving a purpose for you right now. It's okay to take this process slowly or stop at any time. If any of these practices to facilitate interoception and self-tending cause pain or discomfort for any reason,
there is always the option to stop.

For those who have a health condition, are recovering from an injury or physically demanding experience, recently experienced a traumatic event - including physical trauma, have been acutely triggered, currently experience flashbacks or unwanted disassociation , or experience an active eating disorder or body dysmorphia:
