Yoga Therapy
Practices and resources remain therapeutic at all times and very carefully take into consideration any possible contraindications on a bio-psycho-social-spiritual level, as some seeking yoga therapy may be recovering or in the midst of wellness challenges. That said, yoga therapy can also be experienced as a more general self-care measure to maintain and modulate wellness on all koshic levels (ie all levels of your existence from a yoga philosophy perspective). Yoga philosophy and more educational discussions may figure into our work in yoga therapy, as can working in partnership to navigate the complex networks of any mental or physical health challenges you may be facing.

Interested in bespoke one-on-one yoga sessions? Individual live sessions or recorded custom-tailored practices are offered in one of or a mixture of the following styles or types of practices: restorative, actively embodied, therapeutic yin, breathwork and pranayama, visualization, contemplation, mindfulness and other practices (or a combination of these)!
A trauma-informed (TI) lens is at the heart of all YWURP offerings. TI yoga applies a framework and toolset to support participants of all types. In fact, being trauma-informed is inherent to the practice of Yoga. Learn more by scheduling an Intake!

Trauma Sensitive Yoga
Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) is a well-researched and rigorously regulated yoga modality that is created for use with people who have experienced incidence traumas, complex trauma and systemic trauma.
TCTSY uses a very specific method to over time scaffold participants' interoception, choice making, sense of agency and experience of embodiment.
